Sinopec's Chairman Mr. Fu Chengyu announced in Hong Kong on March 24 that Sinopec has made a major breakthrough in shale gas exploration with China's first large-scale shale gas field, Fuling Shale Gas Field, entering into the commercial development stage ahead of schedule. This is of great significance to accelerating China’s energy restructuring, relieving the pressure on the market supply of natural gas in the central and eastern part of China and promoting energy conservation, emission reduction and air pollution control. Reporters from China Petrochemical News recently visited Fuling Shale Gas Field for in-depth interviews and launched a series of reports on the deployment, theoretical innovation, engineering technology, management mode, safety and environmental protection of the Shale Gas Field, which demonstrated the history and experience of the Field’s exploration and development.
