Harding Shelton Group Fund the Second NPED Competition

    From Dec. 4 to Dec. 9, 2012, the champion team of the Second National Petroleum Engineering Design Competition ----"West Oil Design" team and the Chairman (Caoli Hu) of the Petroleum Engineering Design went to Texas, USA, and started a six- day visit and study.


 
    In the six-day activity, Harding Shelton Group held a meeting with the champion team. The chairman of Harding company Michael D.Bumaman, CEO Xiawen Wu, the vice president of tenement John Petropoulos, the vice president of production Stephen D.Smith, and the vice president of cscl J.W.Varner, attended the meeting.

    In the meeting, Caoli Hu introduced the basic situation of China Petroleum Engineering Design Competition, and presented a brochure of the Second National Petroleum Engineering Design Competition as a gift. After the introduction, Wenwu Xia who has two years experience of participating the competitions, gave full recognition to the competition, and hoped the competition could be better and better, and further promoted the development of petroleum and petrochemical industry. The two sides discussed the present development condition for both Chinese and American energy, and also discussed the shale gas exploitation in the United States. After communication, Harding company arranged the delegation to visite the famous Barnett Shale, and introduced the development of technology and current situation in detail. Subsequently, Harding company conducted a three-day technical training of shale gas and related technology. Michael D.Bumaman and Stephen D.Smith were keynote speakers, and they delivered the U.S. shale gas resource profile, development history, shale gas well fracturing, economic evaluation and development of new technologies to the delegation. The delegation also visited Kennedy Memorial and other historical buildings in Texas.
